LYS MOUSSET claims his new club Sheffield United also tried to sign him last summer.
The striker left Cherries at the weekend to move to the Premier League new boys for a fee believed to be around £10million.
Mousset featured 71 times for Eddie Howe’s men, scoring five goals, but only started once in the top flight last season.
And speaking to the Blades website, Mousset revealed that boss Chris Wilder had also been keen to bring him to Bramall Lane 12 months ago.
Mousset said: “I’m very happy. He (Wilder) wanted me to come here last year and Bournemouth said no, but now I’m here.
“I like the way the manager speaks with me.
“I’ve seen the stadium, it’s a huge club.”
Mousset’s former Cherries team-mates Aaron Ramsdale and David Brooks also used to play for the Blades.
“Aaron and Brooksy are two good lads,” said Mousset.
“Brooksy is doing very good and he’s a good friend of mine.”
He added: “I’m ready to play, score goals and make the fans happy.”
