STRIKER Lys Mousset has completed his move from Cherries to Premier League rivals Sheffield United.
As reported by the Daily Echo on Wednesday, the Dorset club agreed a fee to sell the former France under-21 international to the promoted Blades, which is understood to be around £10million.
Mousset is understood to have left Cherries’ Spanish training camp that night to fly back to the UK and complete the move to the Yorkshire outfit.
He has today penned a three-year deal with Chris Wilder’s side, who have smashed their transfer record for the third time this summer.
Wilder told the club website: "Lys is big, quick and a different type of threat at the top of the pitch to what we already have.
"I think he will prove to be a great fit for us and the fact that he selected us above other options shows he's hungry to do well.
“It is a fantastic bit of business for us in the current market and we are looking forward to him joining up with the squad."
Signed from Le Havre in 2016 for a reported £5.7million, Mousset made 71 appearances for the first team at Cherries, mostly as a substitute.
He notched five times during his time with Eddie Howe’s men, most recently in the 5-1 loss at Arsenal in February, his only Premier League start of 2018-19.
Mousset could line up against Cherries in three weeks’ time when Sheffield United visit Vitality Stadium in the clubs’ Premier League curtain-raiser on August 10.
