POOLE Town will begin their bid for promotion from Southern League South with an opening day trip to Farnborough.

Dolphins, who lost the play-off final last year, head to the Easy as HGV Stadium on August 10, while their first home game is three days later against Tiverton Town.

Yate Town then visit Black Gold Stadium on August 17 before Tom Killick takes his side to Weston-super-Mare the following Saturday.

The Christmas schedule sees Poole host Dorchester Town on Boxing Day with a trip to Wimborne Town on New Year's Day.

Poole round off their season with a home clash against Chesham on April 25.

As for Wimborne, they begin their Southern League campaign at Cuthbury against Hartley Wintney on August 10.

A trip to newly-promoted Blackfield & Langley comes next on the Tuesday before travelling to Hendon the following weekend.

Matty Holmes' men then return home to face Taunton Town, who finished second last season, on August 24 before a first clash of the season with neighbours Poole on August 26.

The Magpies, who finished 14th last season, just three points off the relegation zone, go to Salisbury on Boxing Day and round off their campaign with a trip to Swindon Supermarine.
