MIKAEL Ndjoli says he is "raring to go" after sealing a season-long loan move to Gillingham.

The Cherries forward, 20, joined the League One outfit this week after a productive spell at Kilmarnock last season.

Ndjoli, who recently signed a new two-year contract at Cherries, netted five goals in 31 appearances as Killie finished third in the Scottish Premiership.

Discussing his move to link up with Steve Evans' side, Ndjoli told the Gills website: "I'm really pleased to have joined Gillingham ahead of the new season.

"The chairman and manager are incredibly ambitious people. They are very determined to have a successful season and I was keen to be a part of that.

"I will do my very best at all times. I'm raring to go and I look forward to pre-season."

Boss Evans added: "I first became aware of Mikael Ndjoli when I watched a very impressive Kilmarnock team last season under the leadership of Steve Clarke.

"I've had the opportunity to watch Mikael start games and come on and make a serious impact against the likes of Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen, who are all huge clubs.

"Mikael is very comfortable up through the middle or in a wide position on either side of the pitch.

"I'm not going to build him up to something he's not, but he has electric pace and he will be an asset to the group."
