Poole Town have appointed Paul Turner as the club's new reserve-team manager.

The Dolphins were on the lookout for a replacement for Dan Herrington, who left the club over the weekend.

Coach Dan Herrington leaves Poole Town due to 'irreconcilable differences' with boss Tom Killick

Turner has spent the past eight years at Poole and worked alongside Herrington last season.

Lee Middleton has been named as Turner's assistant, stepping up from his role as under-18 boss.

First-team manager Tom Killick said: "I am really pleased that Paul has agreed to become the manager of our reserve team, assisted by Lee.

"Paul has a long and successful record with Poole Town. He is a dynamic and driven character and someone I believe can really progress and enhance our reserve set-up.

"We already have an unrivalled record in non-league football in progressing young players into our first team.

"With Paul in charge, that is something I believe will only develop further."
