EDDIE Howe said discussions would take place this summer with Jordon Ibe about his future.

The 23-year-old winger had a mixed campaign for Cherries, making 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2020.

After a spell out of the team, Ibe came back to start the last two games of 2018-19 against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.

His strike on the final day of the season at Selhurst Park was the first time he had found the net in the Premier League for 14 months.

A report in the Mirror last month linked Ibe with a possible move to Leicester City to reunite with boss Brendan Rodgers.

The pair previously worked together at Liverpool.

Discussing Ibe’s future after his return to the starting XI, Howe told the Daily Echo: “He’s a player that we’ll sit down and talk to during the summer. Although a very young player, Jordon is still an experienced player.

“He’s had a lot of exposure to football in his career so far so I had no doubt that he’d be able to come in and play very well.”
