PROMOTER Steve Bendall is excited to see Lee Cutler defend his unbeaten record and insists: “He has a lot of talent.”

The Bournemouth middleweight is set to top the bill at the O2 Academy on Saturday, as part of Bendall’s ‘Full House’ show.

Cutler has won two of his four professional outings by knockout. He sealed a points triumph over Rod Douglas Jnr in Southampton earlier this month.

Bendall told the Daily Echo: “Lee is topping the bill in his first six-rounder.

“It’s the natural progression for him, we have been bringing him on and he has had some good performances and he is now ready to take the next step.

“If he can keep winning we can build the shows around him.

“I think he has a lot of talent. We have just got to nurture him through. When he is ready to be let off the leash, we will let him off.

“What we are looking to do is try to speak to some of these big promoters to give him a shot on one of the big bills. He is good enough to do that.”
