CELTIC are weighing up a move for Cherries striker Lys Mousset, according to a report in the Scottish Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at Vitality Stadium and the report claims Cherries are looking for around £10million for the Frenchman.

But Celtic are said to be reluctant to spend more than the club record £9m they paid for fellow striker Odsonne Edouard last summer.

France under-21 international Mousset arrived at Cherries from Le Havre in 2016 for a fee of £5.4m and he has made 71 appearances for the club, mostly as a substitute, scoring five goals.

He featured 28 times during the 2018-19 campaign, including Sunday’s defeat at Crystal Palace, and last scored in the 5-1 Premier League loss at Arsenal in February.
