EDDIE Howe described as “very good” Callum Wilson’s performances when he has been fit this season – but insisted: “There is a lot more to come in every aspect of his game.”
Marksman Wilson has enjoyed his most prolific Premier League campaign, with 14 goals in 29 appearances.
The England international has also provided nine assists as he helped Cherries secure a fifth season in the top flight.
Discussing the former Coventry talent’s efforts, Howe said: “When he has been fit and available he has been very good.
“If you just look at the goals and assists he has got – I don’t think we should forget the assist side of it, he has done very well in that aspect – I have been really pleased with his performances this season.”
Asked if Wilson’s best is still to come, Howe said: “I would say the same about any player regardless of age. Their best is yet to come. As a player you have to have that mindset – Callum certainly has.
“He believes he has in no way reached his full level yet. There is a lot more to come in every aspect of his game.”
