PIRATES ace Brady Kurtz will miss tomorrow's SGB Supporters' Cup meeting with Ipswich following a crash in Sweden.

The Australian rider, who has been in great form in recent weeks, suffered an injury on Tuesday while riding for Vetlanda – just a day after helping Poole claw back a 16-point deficit to draw at Belle Vue.

Pirates said Kurtz is "feeling second hand" but he does not believe the fall has caused any "long-lasting" damage.

Scott Nicholls will guest for Pirates in place of the Cowra-born talent in the fixture against the Witches at Wimborne Road (7.30pm).

Former Grand Prix star Nicholls rides for Wolverhampton and doubles up with Championship side Leicester.
