PIRATES ace Brady Kurtz starred as a guest for Swindon just hours after helping Poole clinch a remarkable draw at Belle Vue.

Kurtz delivered an impressive 13, including a crucial win in heat 15, to help the Robins claim a 46-44 victory over Peterborough on Monday night.

The Australian, who stood in for the injured Jason Doyle, also lowered the track record to 61.42 on the revised circuit at Abbey Stadium.

The 22-year-old's efforts came a matter of hours after he scored 14+2 for Pirates as they clawed back a 16-point deficit to draw 45-45 with the Manchester team.

Kurtz led the recovery with a pair of wins in the final two races, with Poole winning both 5-1.

Swindon team boss Alun Rossiter said: “I know a few people were moaning when we announced Brady that he never scores well around here, but I was always confident. He loves coming up here and we have a good friendship with him."
