SWANAGE & Wareham powered to a 69-0 win at Bridport to break 1,000 points in the final game of the Dorset & Wilts One season.

The league champions ran in 11 tries, with seven conversions from Steve Woolley, to deliver 19 victories from 20 fixtures.

Rory Fergusson crossed for a converted try close to the posts in the third minute and Harry Spyers added a score in the corner.

The home side held firm for 25 minutes until Spyers ran round to touch down his second try under the posts, with Woolley adding the extras.

A scrum close to the Bridport line had captain Nick Audley powering over to score and from the restart second row Dan Collins collected the ball and ran through to cross the try line under the posts.

In the final minute of the first half, Ben Dennett worked his way over in the corner to give Swans a 36-point lead.

After the interval, Woolley touched down and added the extras before Ferguson scored his second try.

Kirk Jones was next on the scoresheet as he crossed the line close to the posts, with Woolley converting the extras.

On the hour mark, Ferguson completed his hat-trick and Jones added his second try close to the posts to complete the scoring.
