QUEEN’S Park Athletic kept alive their Hayward Saturday Division One title hopes with a 3-0 success against Bransgore United.
Martin Smith opened the scoring just after the interval and goalkeeper Harry Shaw made a vital penalty save before Smith doubled their lead midway through the second half.
Adam Clark added a third in the closing stages.
Next up for Queen’s Park is a visit to Hurn Bridge on Thursday where they will take on MA Hart Pickford Cup holders Bournemouth Manor in this season’s final (7.30 pm).
Meanwhile, Nasim Meddah led the way with a hat-trick when leaders Bournemouth Electric reserves hammered Portcastrian 8-1 to remain two points clear of Queen’s Park at the top of the table.
Jacob Harrop, Lucas Gelsleichter, Mustapha Jagne, Teddy Hills and Mike La Ronde were also on target for the Sparkies, while Damon Cousins scored Portcastrian’s consolation goal.
Clive Makoni bagged his third hat-trick in four outings when Bournemouth University just got the better of Premier Division strugglers Bisterne United 5-4.
Joseph Huston-Mendy and Joe Richards were the other University marksmen ,while Bisterne replied through Sam Hills, Jack Gibbs and a couple of goals from Ashley Jones.
