WINGER Ryan Fraser admitted it had been “very nice” to hear his name linked with Premier League big guns – but insisted his focus remained with Cherries.

The Scotland international has been rumoured to be a transfer target of Arsenal this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.

Fraser has this season enjoyed his best campaign to date with the Dorset club, scoring six times and providing 10 assists in the Premier League.

Only Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen have created more goals in the division than the 25-year-old this campaign.

Asked about transfer links to Emirates Stadium, Fraser told Sky Sports News: “I'm not going to lie, it's very nice. It means you are doing something right.

"They are a huge club, a massive club. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.

"I'm not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it's a massive club.

"I will just keep doing what I am doing, try to enjoy myself and try to win the game for my team.

"What will be, will be."

Fraser joined Cherries for £400,000 as a teenager from Aberdeen in January 2013 under boss Eddie Howe, when the club was in League One.

The former Ipswich loanee has since gone on to play 170 games for the Dorset club, scoring 22 times.

Pacey wide man Fraser is expected to feature for Cherries against Burnley at Vitality Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

He insisted his immediate focus would be surpassing Cherries’ record top-flight points total of 46 for the campaign, set in 2016/17.

Howe’s men are 12th in the table at present, with 38 points from 32 games.

He added: “The gaffer here has got us playing some great football.

“Obviously our away form has not been great but, I think, if we can win the majority of our last six games then there is a good chance that we can create something the club has never done before.

"Seventh is going to be difficult after Wolves winning the other night and Leicester beating us but if we can beat our highest-ever points total, which is massively doable, it's another one in the history books."
