DOWNPOUR: Poole's challenge match against Somerset was called off due to a waterlogged track
PIRATES’ scheduled season curtain-raiser at Somerset has been called off due to a waterlogged track.
Poole were due to take on the Rebels at Oak Tree Arena this evening in a challenge match to celebrate the hosts’ 20th anniversary.
But instead they will be forced to wait to see their class of 2019 in action after a heavy downpour rained off the contest.
The clubs hope to set a new date for the meeting in due course.
Pirates are next due to be in action at King’s Lynn Stars in the Premiership Shield on Monday.
