NO TEAM in the divisions has a busier schedule than Gotham, whose resounding 11-0 triumph over Hayward Division One strugglers AFC Burton reserves was their third league victory in five days.

Their exploits in three cup competitions has given them a backlog of league games to catch up with.

Gotham began on Tuesday with Stuart Marshall and a couple of goals from Lee Pearson giving them the edge 3-2 against Milford, who replied with a couple of goals from Matt Vining.

Pearson was on target again on Thursday when the Bats were 7-3 winners against Portcastrian.

Ryan Ashford, Brett Barrass, Scott Hancox, Ben Hatch, Adam Louka and Jacob Lawrence added one each. River Smith scored all three Portcastrian goals.

Then came the hammering of AFC Burton reserves courtesy of Louka’s hat-trick and further goals from Lyam Teixceira (2), Shane Sheridan (2), Scott Hancox, Tom Baker, Chris Rigby and Ben Hatch.

This Thursday, Gotham are back in cup action when they play promotion rivals Queen’s Park Athletic at Hurn Bridge in the MA Hart Page Croft Cup Final (7.30pm).

Queens Park Athletic’s title hopes suffered a setback when Portcastrian upended them 2-1 with both goals coming from Callum Booler.

JJ Rayner scored for second-placed Queen’s Park, for whom the blow of this unexpected loss was softened by the fact that league leaders Bournemouth Electric reserves crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Milford.

Milford’s goals came via Matt Vining, Josh Barton-Coupe and a couple of strikes from Leon Jarrett. Lucas Gelsleichter scored Electric’s consolation.

In the other Division One game, Joe Spolander, Ryan Hamm, Callum Horton and Ali Smith gave Bransgore United a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth Sports.

Bournemouth Electric hold top-spot in the Hayward Saturday Premier Division after Lewis Sainval, Dean Seal and a 40-yard free kick from Lewis Miles ensured a 3-1 success against Bisterne United, who replied through Charlie King.

Westover Bournemouth remain three points behind with a game in hand after blitzing Bournemouth University 7-0.

Kyle Graham hit a hat-trick with further goals from Alex Mackenzie, Joe Tisdell, Clive Stopper and Joe Parker.

Reigning champions Bournemouth Manor are in the hunt for a fourth successive title after chalking up their fifth consecutive league victory.

They beat AFC Burton 3-1 thanks to Brad Aspin and a couple of goals from Terry Foote. Ayoub Khan scored Burton’s consolation goal.

Meanwhile, Hamworthy Recreation celebrated their first win in five league outings when they crushed Parley Sports 9-0.

Joe Bennett and Matty Riggs both notched hat-tricks for Rec with George Knijff, James Bergin and Luke Phillips adding one each.

Ringwood United came out on top in their battle with FC Barolo to finish fourth in Division Two after Rhys Williams struck twice in their 5-1 victory.

Lee Bellows, Lee Phibbs and Paul Jordan were also on target. Tim Somerfield scored Barolo’s consolation goal.
