CHERRIES ace Joshua King insisted he had seen the “nice” side of commanding defender Sergio Ramos having locked horns with him at international level.

Norwegian star King and Spain skipper Ramos both scored from the penalty spot during Saturday’s Euro 2020 qualifier at the Mestalla.

And despite his country falling to a 2-1 defeat, Cherries striker King admitted he had enjoyed his battle with the Real Madrid star.

He said: “I think I did really well against one of the best centre-backs in the world.

“Ramos has a reputation of being dirty and rough but I do not remember going up against a centre-back as nice as him.

“I have not seen all of his matches but I think that all of his challenges were clean and he seemed to me a very good sportsman.

“He won some duels and I won others, I think it was a good game.”

King is once again expected to feature when Norway host Sweden in a Group F qualifier tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Cherries keeper Mark Travers is part of the Republic of Ireland squad to take on Georgia at Aviva Stadium.

Meanwhile, Ryan Fraser marked his return to the Scotland squad with an assist, as Alex McLeish’s men won 2-0 in San Marino.
