CHERRIES striker Joshua King opened his account in Euro 2020 qualifying after finding the net against Spain.
The Oslo-born frontman converted from the penalty spot on 65 minutes at the Mestalla, after Inigo Martinez was penalised for hauling down substitute Bjorn Johnsen.
King’s successful spot-kick levelled the contest at 1-1 after Rodrigo’s first-half opener had given the hosts the lead.
But back came Luis Enrique’s side with a penalty of their own after Norway keeper Rune Jarstein flew off his line to wipe out Alvaro Morata inside the box.
Spain skipper Sergio Ramos held his nerve to ensure a 2-1 victory for the hosts in Group F.
Elsewhere, Cherries duo David Brooks and Chris Mepham helped Wales get their Group E campaign off to a perfect start with victory over Slovakia at Cardiff City Stadium.
Dan James’s fifth-minute strike proved decisive as Ryan Giggs’s Dragons earned a 1-0 victory. Cherries goalkeeper Mark Travers was an unused substitute on his first senior call-up for Republic of Ireland.
Mick McCarthy’s men secured a 1-0 victory in Gibraltar in Group D thanks to Jeff Hendrick’s 49th-minute goal.
