BOSS Will Croker says the opportunity to go down in the history books is spurring champions Bournemouth on for their South West Premier trip to third-placed Ivybridge on Saturday.

The table-topping Lions currently sit 20 points clear of second-placed Barnstaple heading into their trip to Devon, with the current record league winning margin at 19 points.

Therefore, Croker has not allowed his players to let their focus slip since winning promotion and believes they will keep pushing hard until the campaign is done.

The head coach said: “This week we have been trying really hard to regain a little bit of focus and direction because obviously the promotion is something we worked really hard for.

“Now we have achieved it, we are very conscious of the fact this is an opportunity for us to not just win the league but to win the league by a record margin.

“I think that would be testament to the team, the squad, playing group and coaching group as a whole.

“The club have been so supportive in everything we have done and it would be wrong of us to take our eye off of the ball at this stage now.”
