FORMER Cherries youngster Ash Pope notched a brace as Christchurch sealed a 3-0 Wessex Premier home victory over Andover New Street.
Alex Whitehouse was also on target as Ollie Cherrett’s men sealed their 10th league win of the campaign.
Elsewhere, Olly Balmer and Chris Senior scored for Hamworthy United in their 2-2 draw at Brockenhurst. The Badgers struck through a Joe Chamberlain penalty, as well as an own goal.
River Smith’s 65th-minute goal earned Poppies a 1-1 draw at home to Shaftesbury, while Mickey Finch fired in Lymington’s 1-1 draw at Fareham.
Bashley played out a goalless draw with leaders Sholing – only the second time the visitors have failed to win this season.
Verwood were beaten 3-0 by Whitchurch in Wessex One, while Ringwood suffered a 2-0 home defeat to East Cowes Victoria.
Christchurch tomorrow take on Paulsgrove in the semi-finals of the Russell-Cotes Cup at Hurn Bridge.
Brockenhurst host AFC Portchester in Wessex Premier, while Verwood visit Romsey Town in Wessex One (all 7.45pm).
