PIRATES star Richie Worrall narrowly missed out on the final at the Ben Fund Bonanza.
The Merseysider totalled nine points from five rides to earn a spot in the semi-final at Leicester.
But with just one place in the finale up for grabs, Worrall bowed out after finishing second to Wolves ace Sam Masters.
Former Pirate Scott Nicholls went on to claim the crown, beating Charles Wright, Danny King and Masters in the final.
