CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe is hoping Lys Mousset will seize any opportunities he gets between now and the end of the campaign.

Against Arsenal last week, Mousset scored the fifth goal of his Cherries career having joined from Le Havre in the summer of 2016.

Howe said: “He’s such a talented player. We really believe he has all the attributes he needs.

“He’s quick, strong, powerful, good technically and knows where the goal is.

“I hope this is an important time for him with the games running out this season and that he can take further chances he will get."

Mousset's selection for the 5-1 loss at Arsenal was his first league start for Cherries since the victory at Burnley on the final day of last season.

The 23-year-old has played 301 minutes of league football this campaign and has come off the bench no fewer than 19 times.

His only other goal in 2018-19 came in the 3-0 win over MK Dons in the second round of the Carabao Cup in August.
