GOALS from Liverpool young guns Glen McAuley and Paul Glatzel ensured Cherries ended their Premier League Cup Group C campaign with a 2-0 home defeat.
However, Shaun Cooper’s side had already progressed to the last 16 of the competition.
The Cherries boss named the likes of Emerson Hyndman, Nnamdi Ofoborh, Sam Surridge and Kyle Taylor in his starting XI.
In front of a crowd of 1,830 at Vitality Stadium, the Reds took the lead after just three minutes.
McAuley latched on to a long ball over the top and calmly slotted home the opener.
And Glatzel – Liverpool’s under-18 captain who recently signed his first professional contract – skipped away from his marker to net a second nine minutes from time.
