DORSET county star Scott Mitchell exited the Scottish Open at the last-16 stage after defeat against Nick Kenny.
The 2015 BDO World Championship-winner opened his account at Normandy Hotel with 3-0 victories over Martin Quinn, Darren Hulston and Ewan Hyslop.
Scotty Dog followed this up with a 4-1 win against Marcus Knapman and 5-2 triumph against Michael Busscher.
However, the 48-year-old's challenge north of the border came to an end with a 5-3 reverse against Welshman Kenny.
The Bransgore-based thrower this weekend is due to compete at the Slovak Open in Samorin.
