A HAT-TRICK of tries from Matt Roberts drove Swanage & Wareham to a 65-0 win over Salisbury II.

Seven team-mates joined Roberts on the scoresheet for Swans, who remained 15 points clear at the summit of Dorset & Wilts One South.

The deadlock was broken inside three minutes when flanker Marcus Seaton crashed over the line, with Steve Woolley adding the extras.

Swans extended their lead after Sam Turner scored out wide.

Roberts notched his first try inside half an hour before hooker Joe Scott powered across for a converted try. Fine passing along the backs saw Lee Hardy score in the corner to cement a 31-0 half-time advantage.

The floodgates remained open after the restart when Will Long forced his way beyond a couple of defenders for a fine individual try. Woolley was on hand to add the extras.

More neat play along the three-quarters sent Hardy over close to the posts, with another Woolley conversion following.

Five minutes later, Roberts touched down his second out wide before Barnaby Knibb joined him on the scoresheet.

Winger Rory Fergusson scored his first try for the club and centre Roberts completed his hat-trick.
