CHERRIES have completed the signing of Icelandic goalkeeper Rafal Danielsson on loan from Fram Reykjavik.

The 17-year-old will remain at Vitality Stadium until the end of the campaign and Cherries have been given the option to buy following the expiry of the temporary deal.

Danielsson's move had been agreed before the closure of the January transfer window.

But due to his age, Cherries had to gain FIFA approval, as well as international clearance, which caused the delay in announcing his arrival.

Danielsson, who will mainly train with Shaun Cooper's under-21 squad during his loan stay, has yet to feature for Fram having graduated from their academy.

Fram play in the second tier of Icelandic football.

Danielsson could be involved when Cherries under-21s take on their Liverpool counterparts in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.

Cooper's troops have already secured progress to the knockout phase but could seal top spot in the group at Vitality Stadium (1pm).

Stopper Mark Travers last week starred in a 1-1 draw with West Brom at Hednesford Town's Keys Park ground, which ensured the Dorset club went through.
