LEAGUE leaders Swanage & Wareham continued their Dorset & Wilts One South dominance with a comprehensive victory over Oakmeadians.

The hosts recorded a 43-12 triumph at Bestwall to make it 12 wins out of 13 this season.

Swans opened the scoring after 10 minutes when full-back Karl Barton found an overlap to score close to the posts. Fly-half Steve Woolley added the extras.

The hosts then chalked up their 100th try of the campaign.

From a line-out, the ball was worked to centre Matt Roberts, who cruised through a gap to touch down.

Despite pressure from Oaks, Swans managed to work the ball to Harry Spyers, who beat his opposite number and scored in the corner.

Spyres then added his second try and, when Woolley sent over the conversion, the Bestwall side found themselves 26-0 up at the break.

Woolley then got in on the act with a try of his own after half-time to extend the advantage before winger Lee Hardy crossed in the corner.

Just past the hour mark Woolley found a way through the Oaks’ defence once more to make it 43-0.

The visitors rallied to touch down twice late on but it was not to matter as Swans emerged comfortable winners.
