A REPORT which suggested Cherries are interested in Leeds United’s Jack Clarke is understood to be without substance.

The Daily Mail claimed Crystal Palace had seen an approach rejected for Clarke and stated Cherries and Tottenham were two of “several Premier League clubs” looking at the winger.

But the Daily Echo understands rumoured links between the Dorset club and the the 18-year-old are without foundation.

Clarke is yet to play 90 minutes for Leeds this season but is “understood to be valued at £12million”, according to the Daily Mail.

He made his first Championship start in last week’s 2-0 victory over Derby, registering an assist and claiming the man-of-the-match award.

Clarke had last month been linked with Premier League champions Manchester City.
