PUNDIT Liam Rosenior claimed Cherries striker Callum Wilson would be "delighted" to have the opportunity to play for Tottenham.

Spurs goal machine Harry Kane has been ruled out until March with an ankle injury.

The England striker sustained the problem in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Tottenham's only fit, recognised striker is Fernando Llorente, which has sparked speculation of a dip into the transfer market.

Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports, former Brighton and Hull defender Rosenior said Wilson would fit in well at Spurs.

"I look at someone like Callum Wilson, who has been linked to clubs, and I think he is the perfect fit for Tottenham," said Rosenior.

"He is young enough and of a profile where he would be delighted to have the chance to play for a club like Tottenham.

"He would give them the pace they need to run in behind. I would not be surprised if they do put a marker down to show everyone they want to keep Mauricio Pochettino at the club and build for the future."

West Ham and Chelsea have been linked with moves for Coventry-born Wilson.

The 26-year-old has scored 10 goals for Cherries this season and netted on his Three Lions debut in November.

Wilson missed Sunday's defeat at Everton due to a hamstring problem.
