LEAGUE leaders Swanage & Wareham continued their impressive form with a 43-0 victory over Bournemouth III.
The Bestwall outfit ensured they sealed the Christmas number one spot in Dorset & Wilts One South with a commanding triumph at Chapel Gate.
Swans were first to adapt to the tough conditions against Lions. With a forwards drive they went over the try line after five minutes. Hooker Craig Foskett was the scorer.
The visitors continued to put pressure on the Bournemouth defence and next on the scoresheet was scrum-half Chris Tomes after 10 minutes. Steve Woolley added the extras to give the visitors an early 12-0 advantage.
The contest then became one-sided as Swans dominated. Centre Matt Roberts, number eight Joe Desmond and fly-half Steve Woolley all touched down before the interval to earn the visitors a 33-0 lead.
Foskett added his second try of the game as the conditions deteriorated during the second half.
Just before the hour mark, Desmond recorded his second of the afternoon.
With the game reaching 60 minutes, the match official called a premature end to proceedings with the result allowed to stand.
Swans are set to host title rivals Dorset Dockers in a crucial showdown at Bestwall on January 5.
