DETERMINED Lee Cutler revealed his dream of securing a British title as he prepares to compete in only his second professional bout.

The 22-year-old is set to walk out at Bournemouth’s O2 Academy on Saturday on a night close friend Chris Billam-Smith will return to fight in Dorset.

Cutler blitzed Northern Ireland's Casey Blair with a first round technical knockout in his professional debut in September.

The Parkstone-based boxer, who was originally from Verwood, will compete over four rounds at Steve Bendall’s latest show – ‘Homegrown’.

Cutler told the Daily Echo: "I don't want to be waiting around fighting journeymen for too long.

"I want to be stepping up nice and fast, looking at the southern area title after six or seven fights next September.

"Once you've stepped up to that level there is no step back.

"The ultimate goal is a British title, anything further than that is a bonus."

Billam-Smith will headline the night and Cutler said his success had "opened the path" for Bournemouth boxers.

"Even as an amateur when I started Chris was always the main guy in the gym," Cutler said.

"I can't wait to fight for the first time as professionals on the same show."
