WILL Croker insisted Bournemouth needed to cope with another "very vociferous crowd" to win their crunch South West Premier battle with Barnstaple.

Lions on Saturday travel to Pottington Road (2pm) for the first against second clash, knowing victory could extend to 12 points the gap between the two sides.

Barnstaple have lost just once since they visited Chapel Gate in the second week of the season.

Boss Croker said his side must not repeat their indiscipline from their only loss of the season against Maidenhead, with a similar atmosphere expected at Barnstaple.

"We have to go there and focus on us and not let the crowd get in our heads," said Croker. "It happened against Maidenhead, so we have to learn our lessons from that.

"Barnstaple always have a very vociferous crowd, who love their rugby and are very keen to get behind their side.

"We have got in the winning habit and I don't want the Maidenhead game to be anything other than a one-off.

"At the moment the boys feel like winners and that is a great feeling to go to Barnstaple with. They have now also experienced what it is like to lose and they do not want to have that feeling again."
