MATTY Holmes admits pressure will be on Wimborne Town in their Southern League Challenge Cup third-round clash with lower-league Bideford.

Magpies host the Southern League Division One South side at Cuthbury tomorrow (7.45pm).

Bideford currently sit 15th in their respective division but boss Holmes expects a stern test against Sean Joyce's side.

"It is going to be a tough game," said Holmes. "We played them twice last season and it was really difficult against them.

"They have the same group of players and they have not had a great start to the season but the cup game takes pressure off them and puts it on us to win it as a higher-level team."

Wimborne made a number of changes in their second-round win over Poole Town and Holmes says he is set to do the same against Bideford.

"We can look at a few of the players who have not played regularly in the league," said Holmes. "They have come in for the cups and performed well.

"I have been pleased with their efforts in previous rounds and we will do the same on Tuesday.

"We are looking at players all the time and how to improve because we can't stand still at this level."
