INJURED Cherries midfielder Lewis Cook revealed his operation had been a success.

The former Leeds United ace today went under the knife after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday.

Cook, 21, is expected to be out for around six to nine months.

He wrote on Twitter: "So pleased to say my operation was a success!

"Thank you to all our staff at the club and the hospital for their help. Thank you again for the messages and support.

"Now focused on my recovery."
