EDDIE Howe believes Liverpool are the team best-placed to wrestle the Premier League crown from Manchester City’s grasp.

The Reds face Cherries at Vitality Stadium tomorrow hoping to return to the top of the table (12.30pm), if only for a limited time with City in action against Chelsea later in the day.

Asked if Liverpool were City’s biggest title threat, Cherries boss Howe told the Daily Echo: “I think they are but I’m not being disrespectful to anyone else.

“I still believe Tottenham are a very good team, as are Chelsea, but I think it could be between those two sides.

“They have both been very consistent and have an ability to win when things are tight, which is a great sign.”

Howe revealed he had taken inspiration from Liverpool under Klopp’s guidance.

He said: “I would be foolish not to look at them. We look at all the top teams around the world to look at things from a different viewpoint, to see if there are ways to implement here what they do.

“Liverpool have a definite philosophy, a way of playing and a style with and without the ball which is very easy on the eye.

“They do a lot of good things so we certainly look at them.”
