EASTLEIGH striker James Constable has returned to Poole Town on a month’s loan – and Dolphins have the option to extend until the end of the season.

Although the deal is subject to Football Association and National League approval, it is expected the formalities will be completed in time for the 34-year-old to feature at Beaconsfield Town in Southern League South tomorrow.

Chairman Chris Reeves told the club website: “I am delighted to have secured James's signing.

“He made a big impression during his short stay with us last season, both on and off the field.

“His return will give the squad a massive boost and underpins our determination to do all we can to win back our place in National South."

Constable netted two goals in 10 appearances while on loan to Poole from the Spitfires last season.

Formerly of Oxford United, Walsall, Shrewsbury Town and Kidderminster Harriers, Constable is a scorer of more than 50 Football League goals.
