POOLE Town continued their ruthless scoring streak in the Dorset Senior Cup with a 10-2 hammering of Dorset Premier League outfit Swanage Town & Herston.

Charlie Davis notched a hat-trick in the quarter-final tie, with Sam House (2), Jake Scrimshaw, Adam Grange, Jez Bedford, coach Micky Hubbard and Tyrrell Sampson also on target for Dolphins.

Poole, who had crushed Portland United 7-1 in the first round, conceded efforts from Swans duo Paul Best and Garan Bennett but it mattered not.

Wimborne Town secured a 3-1 victory over Shaftesbury in the same competition – their first away win of the season.

Stef Penny opened the scoring for the visitors when his cross found the back of the net on the stroke of half-time.

Shaftesbury levelled after the hour mark before goals from Rhys Owen and Luke Burbidge secured Wimborne's spot in the last four.

Bridport also progressed courtesy of a home walkover against Verwood, who had been unable to field a side.

Weymouth completed the semi-final line up after they won on penalties against Dorchester Town at Bob Lucas Stadium.

Hamworthy United set up an FA Vase fourth-round clash with Willand Rovers after sweeping aside Hamble Club 4-1.

First-half efforts from Ollie Davies, Dan Cann and Nathan Walker, alongside an own goal, put Callum Brooks's side in a commanding position.

And Richard Bridle's effort in the second half proved only a consolation for Hamble.

Poppies' late heroics helped them edge through their Hampshire Senior Cup third-round tie at higher-division Blackfield & Langley.

The hosts led at half-time but goals from River Smith and Charlie Langston ensured Poppies came away with a 2-1 win.
