CHERRIES bid to continue their perfect record in Premier League Cup Group C when they visit Liverpool.
Shaun Cooper’s charges are on Sunday set to take on the Reds at Melwood (12pm) having sealed victories over Burnley and West Bromwich Albion in their first two games.
Under-21 boss Cooper, whose side are set to watch tomorrow's first-team fixture at Manchester City, told the club website: "We know we have every chance of qualifying with a win, it won’t be mathematical but it would put us in a great position.
"We’ve seen plenty of clips of Liverpool and they’re a very good side, they have a high tempo, lots of energy and we have to make sure that we’re on top of our game for a tough test.
"It’s a good opportunity for our lads to play against young players who play in the under-23s Champions’ League."
