BOSS Eddie Howe revealed he would make a late call on the fitness of Dan Gosling ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League battle at Manchester City (3pm).

The Cherries midfielder picked up a knee injury during Sunday’s 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal.

Howe said: “Dan hasn’t trained this week, so we will make a late call on him.

“He took a bang on his knee against Arsenal. I think it’s just a bruise, so we hope he will be fit.”

Howe will also be without club record signing Jefferson Lerma against City as the Colombian midfielder serves a one-match ban.

“We are going to miss him,” added the Cherries boss. “I think his energy and physicality in games like this would have been really important but we have the players and the squad to adjust to it.”

City boss Pep Guardiola hinted he could freshen up his team after the exertions of Tuesday's Champions League draw at Lyon.

Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan all remain doubtful.

Guardiola said: "It is a really tough game and the Champions League was too. After this game we have another game in three days.”

Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is set to miss out for the hosts.
