DORSET Dockers claimed a memorable 36-17 win over Minety in the final of the Dorset & Wilts Senior Vase in Salisbury.

Minety possessed a well drilled and aggressive pack which caused early concern. But having weathered the onslaught and the yellow card of captain Alex Priest, Christchurch-based Dockers took command.

A neat blindside passing exchange allowed Kingsley Agbo to slide over in the corner, Tom Keir adding the extras to supplement his early penalty.

The Dockers pack was being led ably by hooker Joe Day with the strong running of Morgan Leadbitter and Jack Belcher proving a potent weapon.

There were soon further tries for Crispin Cormack's men courtesy of centre Dan Mallard and Jordan Cutler, who bagged a brace on the day.

To their credit, Minety remained competitive and came back to score three fine tries in the second half.

However, it was Keir who had the last word. He went under the posts after excellent approach work by centre Luke Burrage and the line-splitting James Osborne.
