ELVIS Bwomono will be more determined than most when Southend United host Southampton’s under 21 team in the Checkatrade Trophy tomorrow night.
Bwomono has started five of Blues’ last six games in the competition and is keen to progress past the group stages to ensure more possible first team appearances.
“I would never look down on the Checkatrade Trophy and the Southampton game is one I’ll be desperate to win.” said Bwomono.
“I made my first team debut in the competition last season and have played in most of the games since so I would love to get through to try and get more games.
“We also want to get back to winning ways, whatever the competition.”
