JOSHUA King insisted he had moved on from his horror miss for Norway and vowed to make sure there was no repeat incident.
The Cherries striker was left with his head in his hands after dragging the ball off target from five yards out during a UEFA Nations League clash at home to Bulgaria earlier this month.
He has since played 85 minutes in Cherries’ goalless draw with Southampton and is in contention to line up at Fulham on Saturday (3pm).
He told Sky Sports: “I don’t know what happened. I think I was caught in two minds and it’s the biggest miss of my career so far – I hope it’s the last one as well.
“It was a bit embarrassing. My family was there and all the fans at home are very on me scoring goals.
“I do think when I go back home I think about that too much, like I did here last season.
“You just have to move on. Everyone has had misses, like Ronaldo or Neymar, all the biggest players. All in all, you just have to laugh it off. You can’t do anything about it and have to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
Former Manchester United youngster King has been in fine form for Eddie Howe’s men this season, scoring four times and registering one assist in nine top-flight games.
