STRIKER Dan Cann fired five times to help Hamworthy United breeze through to the last four of the Bournemouth Senior Cup.

The former Poole Town and Wimborne frontman was in red-hot form as Hammers smashed Hayward Saturday League AFC Burton 10-0 at the County Ground.

Luke Stone weighed in with a hat-trick while Nathan Walker and Brandon Randall also scored for Callum Brooks’s charges.

Poppies also progressed to the semi-finals after a thrilling 3-2 victory at holders Bashley.

Cameron Beard put the hosts ahead at Bashley Road before Steve Flynn restored parity before the interval.

Shiv Roushbaiani then struck the visitors in front before an own goal 14 minutes from time saw Bash set up a grandstand finale.

And it was Poppies who netted the winner when Stepan Neronski fired home a minute later.

Lymington were dumped out of the Southampton Senior Cup at the second-round stage after losing 3-0 at home to Wessex One AFC Stoneham.

Goals from Joseph Sutherden, Josh Clark and Eduardo Jiminez ensured the visitors sealed the spoils at the Sports Ground.

Stoneham's reward is a visit to Hamble Club in the third round.
