CHERRIES legend Ted MacDougall will be at Vitality Stadium on Saturday to sign copies of his book – MacDouGOAL.

MacDougall, who played for both Cherries and Saints, will be in the AFC Bournemouth Superstore between 10.30am and 11.30am.

The book was first published in September 2016 but a new paperback edition came out earlier this month.

And the final chapter has been updated to include MacDougall’s thoughts on recent events in the football world and on Cherries' fortunes since it was originally released two years ago.

Supporters from both Cherries and Saints are invited to meet MacDougall, who now lives in Florida, at the book signing.

MacDougall will also make an appearance at the Vitality Football Festival, which takes place on the 3G pitches behind Vitality Stadium between noon and 12.30pm.

The popular 71-year-old, who makes regular trips to England to visit his former clubs, will then go around the hospitality lounges ahead of Cherries' Premier League showdown with Southampton.

MacDougall plundered more than 100 league goals for Cherries and also famously hit nine in an FA Cup tie against Margate.

An apprentice under Bill Shankly at Liverpool, he also played for Norwich City, Manchester United and West Ham before ending his playing career in America.
