CHERRIES defender Nathan Ake has seemingly dismissed as speculation reports linking him with a move to Manchester United or Tottenham.

The Daily Star reported the Premier League big guns were “ready to do battle” to secure the services of the Dutch international.

However, Ake gave a video interview with Voetbal International following the Netherlands’ 3-0 win over Germany on Saturday, which appeared to play down talk of a move.

A translated version of the quotes was later published by footballoranje.com.

The quotes read: "I've seen it pass by but of course it’s rumours. At the moment I play at Bournemouth and that is going well, so I focus on that.

“This does not say much about my status yet. They are rumours on the Internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that.”

Ake played the final 13 minutes of the Nations League victory over Germany in Amsterdam, replacing Frenkie de Jong with the score at 1-0.

The Dutch are second in Group A1 on three points, with France top on four and Germany bottom on one.
