CHRIS Billam-Smith revealed how his nutrition had been strictly on point ahead of the biggest fight of his professional career – but it did not stop him thinking about his imminent return to curry club.

The 28-year-old has fine-tuned his diet ahead of a Commonwealth title eliminator with Robin Dupre at York Hall on Saturday.

While he is first looking to turn up the heat on the 31-year-old Dagenham puncher, Billam-Smith admitted an Indian with his mates would be a warm reward for his seventh professional success.

The cruiserweight told the Daily Echo: “I feel in really good shape.

“I have a meal prep company we have started using. They log how many carbs, fats and proteins I have.

“You tell them what you need and they give it to you in the meals. I get four meals a day from them which has all the good stuff in, they are tasty meals as well.

“It has helped me massively and takes the stress away of having to cook or spending money on food out, which isn’t going to have as high nutritional value.

“But next week I can treat myself a bit. This time next week I will probably be a lot fatter!

“Me and the boys have already planned a curry over in Christchurch. We have a little curry club we do. We are going to do that because I can finally have one.”
