NEIL Middleditch is hoping his Pirates riders will thrive with the prospect of title success at their fingertips.
Pirates lead King’s Lynn 53-37 heading into tomorrow’s SGB Premiership play-off final second leg in Norfolk.
Team boss Middleditch is aiming to secure his eighth league title in 16 seasons and is optimistic his riders can rise to the challenge.
He told the Daily Echo: “It’s a different day. This is the grand final. It can bring out the best in riders and can cause them a few nerves.
“I quite like the fact we were at home first as we now know what we have to do at King’s Lynn.
“They are a good side round there and I know they will be doing the track up.
“On our last visit there, although we got beaten quite heavily, in the latter part of the meeting the boys got the hang of it.
“Hopefully, the final will bring the best out of us.”
