PREMIER League big guns Manchester United and Tottenham are “ready to do battle” for “£40million-rated” Nathan Ake, according to the Daily Star.

The publication claims bosses Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino have been “keeping track” of the Dutch international.

Ake, 23, played under Mourinho during his time at Chelsea.

The Red Devils boss gave him his Champions League debut while at Stamford Bridge during a 6-0 win over Maribor in October 2014.

The talented centre-half signed for Cherries in a £20million deal in June 2017 and won a host of awards during his first full season at Vitality Stadium.

Ake has been ever-present in the top flight for Eddie Howe’s men this campaign and played an integral part in guiding them to sixth in the table.

He could be involved when the Netherlands host Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday (7.45pm).
