CHERRIES star Ryan Fraser has been forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad due to injury.
Sky Sports reported the 24-year-old had pulled out of Alex McLeish’s set-up as a precaution due to a hamstring problem.
The former Aberdeen youngster will miss fixtures against Israel and Portugal.
Fraser has been in sublime form for Cherries this season, with four goals and four assists coming from nine games in all competitions.
McLeish said: “I think Ryan has been playing for a few weeks getting treatment and not training so much.
“He’s saved his electric performances for his club in recent weeks and we were very keen to get him involved with Scotland because of the way he has been burning it up in England.
"However, he failed a medical with the Scotland doctors and physios and we had no choice but to send him back.
“He was very keen to come. He came up on the plane on Sunday night and was absolutely determined to stay but we had to send him back for his own good.”
