TEAM boss Neil Middleditch has urged Pirates to win the SGB Premiership title for injured racer Brady Kurtz.

The Aussie ace saw his season ended by a broken collarbone which he sustained in the second leg of the play-off semi-final against Somerset.

Despite operating in a demanding spearhead role, Kurtz was one of three Poole riders to retain his team place throughout the regular season in a year of multiple changes.

The 22-year-old has been replaced by guest Nick Morris for tomorrow’s play-off final first-leg clash with King’s Lynn at Wimborne Road (7.30pm).

Middleditch told the Daily Echo: “Brady is very disappointed to miss the final but he will be back.

“He’s put in some great scores and has had a few indifferent meetings but that’s speedway. He has done a good job and has played a huge part in getting us to the final.

“It would be nice to win it for him. All the boys and the fans want to win but whatever happens, it’s been a good season.

“It would be fantastic to finish it off with a title.”
